Here is Maya from the second season of Gerry Anderson's Space:1999; probably the best thing about the second season in my opinion.

Marvelous. She looks like she's really pissed off at something.

I didn't intend that.... I guess she is ready to morph into some giant. shaggy monster with a zipper up its back. :D

I always liked that orange chlorine breather she morphed into a few times.

Yeah, that one. Being a Lost in Space fan I am not really in a position to throw stones but that show was all over the place. UFO had a really good snappy script line so what went wrong? I still remember watching it as a kid and when the dnds came out it was a bit of a surprise at how shonky the writing was. A friend of mine calls it the most wooden characters Gerry ever worked with haha.
Still loved the Eagles though and the opening.

One of my all time favourite sci-fi characters! :)

Nice job.

Well the problem lay in the second season. The amaerican producer Fred Frieberger made a number of changes to attract the american audiences needed to make the show a real hit (and make real money) so some characters were bumped (Victor Bergman, Paul Morrow and others) and a few new ones added to make the cast more american (Tony Verdeschi) and of course, Maya, who was to lend an exotic air to the show as well as provide useful plot devices. Alan Carter was nearly bumped from the show as well and it was some effort to retain him. The show became more adventurous and there were some good stories though it was felt that the atmosphere of strangeness and the unknown was missing compared to the first season which was mysterious and- in a very british way- not very optimistic. The effects, at least didn't suffer and that was one of the only consistent things both seasons share. The loss of Barry Gray doing the music was another major change although I personally like Derek Wadsworth's style for the second season.

She was pretty hot. Did you ever see her in "Moon Zero-Two?"
